Previous Thursday we had at school a lan-party because it was the last week at school before our internship, and it was the last week of our class teacher at school, which was bound for better horizons and is now working at a security firm.

During the lan we played with the whole class (few exceptions here and there) Call of Duty 2.

Technical stuff

We used 2 switches to connect everyone with each other and we had 3 tables.
We wanted to use DHCP but the Linksys router we used, failed to work, so I had to implemend the static IP plan and number every laptop.

Table 1 and on table 2 had each 1 switch, both switches where connected with a cross-cable backbone
The laptops where connected with a strait cable, table 1 laptops with switch 1 and table 2 and 3 with switch 2.

IP Plan
Table Range Subnet
1 10.0.1.0/24 255.0.0.0
2 10.0.2.0/24 255.0.0.0
3 10.0.3.0/24 255.0.0.0

This was the IP Plan I came up with.
Every table had their own IP range, and every laptop had 1 IP address from the range of his table, the IP numbers where incremental of each other.

I have some images uploaded from the day.
